Hi, I’m Grace.
(she/her)
I’m passionate about helping brands stand out in the digital space by crafting experiences that are user-centered and backed by rock-solid strategy. I focus on UX/UI design, product design, and brand strategy and visual identities.
I’ve collaborated with companies of all sizes to solve challenging business problems and connect with their customers, from industry-leading enterprises like Google and MilliporeSigma, to future-focused start-ups like Digital Fleet, to a wide array of small businesses and entrepreneurs.
01
Background
I was born and raised in Upstate New York, halfway between Rochester and Syracuse, and attended Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) where I curated my own degree program with the School of Individualized Study. Through an education at the intersection of marketing, communication, and design, I sharpened my critical thinking skills and gained the perspective that design should first and foremost be user-centered.
02
Experience
I’ve spent the last 4+ years in design consulting settings and have experience in all phases of the design process, from problem-framing and ideation, to delivery of high fidelity prototypes and collaboration with developers. Bridging the gap between UX and UI, I’m in my element when I’m solving tough business challenges and making sense of complex concepts, and have an intense attention to detail (if design hadn’t worked out, I think I would’ve made a good proofreader) and deep understanding of color and typography.
03
Etc.
I currently live in Syracuse, NY with my partner, Michael, our cats, Beckham and Zarra, and bearded dragon, Blaze. When I’m not up to my elbows in a Figma file designing a user interface for Nerdery, you can find me catching up on my ever-growing reading list or exploring the many state parks of Upstate NY. I am a big fan of chai lattes and Moscow mules, head banging to Balance & Composure, and challenging myself with new arm balances in my yoga practice.
